Tim is a founding member and a managing partner of the firm who was born and raised on a farm in Ainsworth, Iowa in 1957 and graduated from Highland High School. Tim attended the University of Iowa for his undergraduate studies and graduated with a B.A. degree in political science with honors, cum laude and thesis in 1980. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Eta Sigma. He received his law degree from the University Of Iowa College Of Law in 1983. He won a client counseling competition while there and represented the University of Iowa nationally. He was admitted to the Iowa Bar Association in 1983.

Tim published an article in the Iowa Agriculturalist entitled “How to Select an Attorney.” He has taught several courses and seminars at Southeastern Community College, for financial planners, for the Business Institute, and for the Des Moines County Bar Association, on estate planning topics. He has served as president of the Burlington/West Burlington Chamber of Commerce and served on its governing board for several years. He also served on several boards and as a mediator for churches and nationally for a financial association of churches. He is presently the Unitied Way Campaign Chairman and has served on the YMCA/YWCA board in Burlington. He sings and is on the board of Bel Canto Chorale. He is married to Criss and has five children. He prides himself on his work ethic.

Tim’s practice is a general practice including but not limited to the areas of estate planning, probate and estate administration, tax preparation, business law, civil litigation, domestic law, real estate, and probate/trust litigation.
